Vertical blinds are as popular as ever and continue to remain in style for a number of reasons.  An extremely versatile blind, Vertical blinds, are great for saving space and are a great way to control the light coming in to your home.

 

These blinds are ideal for most window types, especially high or wide windows.  Vertical blinds are a great solution at patio doors or French doors which open outwards.

How are Vertical Blinds fitted?

 

Vertical blinds can be fitted inside or outside the window frame.  Where possible, we will always suggest inside the window frame, as this will give the neatest finish.  Brackets will be fitted to the top of the inside of the window recess and the vertical headrail attached on.  In areas where this is not practical, for example conservatories or tilt and turn windows, then either 3.5 or 5 inch 'face fix' brackets will be used to attach the headrail to ensure window handle clearance.  In most situations, the blind will be operated with cord and plastic chain, which is neatly and child safely, fixed to the side of the window frame with a child safety bracket.  In conservatories, where there is no place to safely fix the cords, then these blinds will be installed using wand controlled headrails.
